Postdoctoral researcher at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili
Research topics: System modelling; soft-computing & knowledge engineering; uncertainty analysis; integrated modelling & assessment and intelligent data modelling
Dr Vikas Kumar is a research scholar in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Rovira i Virgili. Dr Kumar career has evolved from Natural Science (first degree in Agriculture Engineering), to Computer Science (Master in Computer Application), and finally to problem solving in the Physical and life science (PhD on Soft Computing Approaches to Uncertainty Propagation in environmental management). Later he was accepted for Marie Curie Fellowship at the University of Sheffield, UK and extended his work in the area of integrated modelling and catchment management. He has proven expertise in the area of system modelling; soft-computing & knowledge engineering; uncertainty analysis; integrated modelling & assessment and intelligent data modelling. During his short academic career he has made a significant contribution in both with publications in refereed international journals, edited book chapters and presentations at major international conferences (>50).
