PhD student at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ)
Research topic: "Synthesis of polymer-supported amino acid derivatives as recyclable organocatalysts in batch and flow chemistry"
I studied chemistry at the University of Cologne in Germany and graduated under the supervision of Prof. A. Berkessel in the field of Organocatalysis. During my undergraduate studies I spent six months at Trinity College in Dublin as an Erasmus student working on the development of novel reactions of Sulfones in the group of Prof. D. Grayson. Currently I am doing my PhD at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) under the supervision
of Prof. M. A. Pericàs. My PhD project focuses on the synthesis of polymer-supported amino acid derivatives as recyclable organocatalysts in batch and flow chemistry. I signed up for the Southern Catalonia Nobel Campus because this event offers the great opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with some of the best chemists in the world.
