My experience in industrial field started four months ago when I was contracted by Rovira I Virgili University and Dow Chemical Iberica (Water &Process Solutions Site), to take part of a challenging project on investigation and development of new filtration techniques for waste -, brackish and sea water applications. I am involved in two different projects, one focused on investigating new methods and membranes elements designed to better characterize and reduce the biofouling phenomenon, which still represents a major concern in water industry and second is focused on validation of new membrane modules within a reverse osmosis waterdesalination process for industrial proposes. Future plans are related with development of a new ultrafiltration-reverse osmosis plant for a more efficient and cost reducing filtration technology. The Campus Nobel sessions will bring a totally new thinking perspective not only from the industrial/academic life point of view but also from day by day life necessities.
