Research topic: "Computational approaches to food & health relevant molecules"
Formed as molecular biologist I developed a deep interest in the study of complex genomes and in proteomic and molecular implications of gene expression. Since April 2011 I working in the field of molecular modelling. In particular, my research focuses on predicting hosts-guests interaction between molecules of food and pharmaceutical interest and protein targets (eg nuclear receptors and serum albumin). My efforts are aimed to understand the molecular mechanisms of action of know hemicals. The knowledges acquired lead to forecasts for the activity of compounds with not yet known activity.
"I believe that CEICS Nobel Campus is a unique and undeniable opportunity for intellectual growth. Taking part in this kind of experience of contact with some of the most illustrious personalities of the scientific world is not only a deep personal desire but also a rare opportunity to expand my knowledge and deepen my understanding of the contemporary scientific world. I think that dialogue and exchange of experiences with exceptionally competent and prepared minds is the perfect context to learn and get authoritative advice and suggestions to improve, and possibly expand, the mental and methodological approach to my PhD project."
