Research topic: "Sugar-based chiral ligands synthesis and theirapplication in asymmetric catalytic processes"

After finishing a Degree in Chemistry last year at URV (Tarragona) I decided to continue my studies with the master of “Synthesis and Catalysis” (URV and ICIQ, Tarragona). In this context, I was awarded a BRDI grant last October in order to study this master and carry on
with a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Montserrat Diéguez and Dr. Óscar Pàmies, in the
Inorganic Chemistry Department of URV.

My scientific interests are the use of catalysts in organic synthesis and designing ligands from natural sources in order to make a more sustainable chemistry. It’s for this reason that I would attend this Nobel Campus since it would be a good opportunity to learn more about catalysis and other topics.
