PhD student at the University of Girona
Research topic: Organometallic Chemistry of Copper(III) Complexes
Alicia Casitas (1985, Girona, Spain) studied Chemistry at University of Girona and graduated in 2007. She is finishing her PhD at the same university working with Dr. Xavi Ribas and Dr. Miquel Costas in the reactivity of well-defined organometallic copper(III) complexes in C-heteroatom bond forming reactions. She received the Spanish Elly&Lilly Award for PhD students in 2011. “Sharing my PhD project with Nobel Laureates and excellent scientists is very encouraging for continuing my academic career. The conference will be a good chance for obtaining a wide perspective about the current challenges that we must face as chemists”.
