Postdoctoral Researcher at Repsol
Research topics: Self-healing materials, biopolymers, nanostructural foams of polyolefins and CO2 conversion
My name is María Belén Mula Andrés, and I did my Ph. D in Chemistry at NUIM Ireland. Then I moved back to Spain to carry out a Post-Doctoral stage at UCM in process development for alkaloid synthesis. After doing a specialized Master in Petrochemistry at CSFR, Madrid I joined the Technology Center at Repsol in 2003. Since then I have worked as a Senior Technologist in process development at laboratory and pilot plant scale. In 2010, I was offered a new position as Head of Synthesis, Characterization and Processing Laboratories into the Polymer Division. As the main challenges of research within this area I highlight development of self-healing materials, biopolymers, nanostructural foams of polyolefins and CO2 conversion.
I signed up for the campus because I believed is a unique opportunity to share experiences with such a mixture of young, senior and Nobel scientist.
From my participation at CEICS I expect to gain a different perspective of research, improve my innovation skills and meet interesting contacts for future work.
